Traveling to Grande Prairie Alberta
During the first part of August, Richard and Suzanna traveled to Grande Prairie, Alberta to attend the wedding of their niece, Sherri Sirockman. Since the Hanham clan is so scattered across Canada and the US, this offered an opportunity to have a brief family reunion.
After flying to Calgary, we took a scenic drive through Banff and Jasper National Parks, followed by a scenic drive through the Rocky Mountain foothills from Hinton to Grande Prairie.

Mother’s Birthday Celebration
Mother’s birthday is on August 19th, but since all her children were home at the same time, we decided to have a surprise birthday celebration. With the children scattered across western Canada and the US, it is not very often that we are able to have a family reunion.
Here is mother with all her children (Reg, Martha, Bob, and Richard) celebrating her 75th birthday three weeks early.

Return Trip
After spending time with family and attending the wedding, we headed back to the Calgary airport, traveling by Lesser Slave Lake and through Drumheller.
