Welcome to the Hanham Family website.
Streets of Istanbul
While in Istanbul, we enjoyed the Turkish cuisine.
We took a delightful cruise of the Bosphorus Strait, which connects the Marmara Sea to the Black Sea. Europe is on one side and Asia on the other side.
Simits are sold by street vendors, who either have a simit trolley or carry the simit in a tray on their head. Simit is a circular bread with sesame seeds, which is made with molasses.
These are views of the modern European side of Istanbul from a hilltop on the Asian side of the Bosphorus.
Near the Spice market, vendors cut up blocks of cheese for sale.
Interesting meat selection from a street side meat market vendor.
Suzanna enjoying the lobby of our hotel in Istanbul.
The restaurant next to our hotel had some very interesting tables and chairs.
