02/14/12 New Zealand Trip
We crossed the South Island from east to west via Arthur’s Pass on a rainy, foggy day.
Richard beside some of the limestone boulders at Castle Hill, NZ. This rock looks a little like a praying chipmunk.
We had a long and steep journey up a mountainside through rain and thick foliage, but it was worth it to view Devil’s Punchbowl Waterfall.
This area had many NZ Kea Parrots. They love to eat the rubber from vehicle windows. If Richard had not closed the window, this curious little guy would have come into the car!
We had a spectacular view of Fox Glacier but did not have time to hike to it.
We enjoyed a picnic lunch and walk in the area.

Parasailing in Queenstown, NZ, was great fun!
