(03/20/09 (Suzanna & Richard) PTL! We are now nearly finished with our training.
March arrived like a lion. One week earlier we were enjoying sunny weather in the upper 70's. Then a sudden cold front moved in with between 7 and 9 inches of snow and below freezing temperatures. We were certainly glad we had brought some warm coats.
  
Even the Frosty the Snowman looked cold.
Each morning we meet together for short group Bible study times.
It was a joy to visit the home of friends and enjoy an ice cream sundae. At campus the food served is healthy, so there are not any sweet desserts. Instead there are always lots of fresh fruits.
Our friend Carol had to leave early due to surgery for a detached retina. In spite of the rain, we managed to transport her belongings to her vehicle.
We made a brief one day trip to Washington DC. One of our stops was at an authentic Ethiopian restaurant. There are no eating utensils used. Instead the spicy food is picked up using torn off pieces of a sponge-like bread. It takes some practice and acceptance of the fact that your fingers will become sticky. The food was great.
Afterward we walked by the White House. Security is tight, so we did not get to go up and knock on the front door. We all need to continue to pray for the President and this nation.
Proverbs 3:5-6
