Tuesday, June 3 – Stockholm, Sweden

While in Stockholm, we passed by the blue building where the Nobel prizes are given out.

The most interesting site in Stockholm was the Vasu Museum.   In 1628 an imperial warship sank in the harbor within the first hour that it set sail.   The ship was recovered in excellent condition.

Nearby was the Nordiska Museum.

We were a little disappointed to see that an older Viking style church was now being used as the Biologiska Museum.

Here are some views of the many canals in the city.   The city is actually located across 14 islands on the southern coast of Sweden at the mouth of Lake Mälaren.
